Project Manager (Architecture) - Owner's side
An established, privately held organisation with a national footprint is seeking a Project Manager with a background in Architecture to lead high-profile design and construction initiatives across multiple states.
This is a role for an architect who wants true ownership, from early concept through completion, and who enjoys being at the center of decision-making, collaboration, and delivery. You’ll act as the owner’s advocate, shaping projects that are visible, complex, and built to the highest standards.
Why This Role Is Different
-
End-to-end ownership: See your projects through from initial sketches to ribbon cutting
-
National scale: Work on renovations, expansions, and ground-up developments across the U.S.
-
High impact: Your decisions directly influence quality, schedule, and long-term value
-
Collaborative leadership: Partner with internal teams, consultants, and contractors as a trusted authority
-
Career growth: A platform to strengthen your leadership profile and broaden your portfolio with large, complex projects
What You’ll Be Trusted With
Rather than functioning as a traditional production architect, you’ll operate as a strategic leader and problem solver, guiding design intent, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring projects meet brand, budget, and schedule expectations. You’ll have visibility with senior leadership and the autonomy to drive outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
-
5+ years of experience managing complex commercial or retail construction projects
-
Confidence leading multidisciplinary teams and external partners
-
Experience delivering large-scale projects (ground-up and major renovations)
-
Strong judgment, communication skills, and comfort making independent decisions
-
Willingness to travel as projects require
Tools & Background
-
Comfortable reviewing full construction document sets (including civil and MEP)
-
Familiar with industry tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
-
Architecture degree preferred (BArch or MArch), though equivalent experience is valued
What’s Offered
-
Highly Competitive compensation
-
Comprehensive benefits package
-
401(k) with company match
-
Long-term stability within a privately owned organisation
-
A seat at the table on meaningful, high-visibility projects
