Job details

A technology-driven trading company builds proprietary trading systems for physical and financial electricity markets in North America. It designs, tests, and operates strategies that compete in complex, data-rich environments, where timing, accuracy, and execution matter.?

The team combines deep market experience with technical skills in quantitative research, software engineering, and power system dynamics. It values open discussion, experimentation, and continuous improvement as it builds systems and strategies that evolve with the markets it trades.?

The role
As a Software Engineer, you will build and improve the systems that power trading. Everyone on the team writes code, and AI-assisted development is integrated to amplify output. Your role is to help identify the best combination of software and infrastructure for projects spanning data ingestion, analytics, trade execution, and automation. Your goal is to deliver these systems and ensure their reliability, performance, and long-term scalability.

Typical projects include

  • Building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines for model training and live trading

  • Designing tools and interfaces for market analysis, monitoring, and visualization

  • Automating trading, reporting, and compliance workflows

  • Expanding and refining developer tooling and cloud infrastructure

Your profile

  • A higher degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • A few years of relevant experience, or strong project experience as a recent graduate

  • Expertise in Python, or strong proficiency in another modern language (such as C++, Rust, Go, Kotlin, etc.) and the willingness to adapt

  • A good understanding of clean architecture, algorithms, and data structures

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and AI-assisted software development

  • Curious, self-directed, and comfortable taking responsibility for end-to-end outcomes

  • Collaborative and open-minded, able to discuss, challenge, and build with others

What we offer

  • Direct impact: your code runs in production and affects trading outcomes

  • Investment in hardware and software that maximizes your productivity

  • A tight-knit team with extensive industry experience to learn from

  • Highly competitive salary and result-oriented rewards

  • Pension, health insurance, and 30 days of vacation

How we work
The company believes the best ideas come from close collaboration. At an office in the Aarhus area, you will learn directly from an experienced team and take part in the day-to-day design, testing, and refinement of systems. While there is flexibility in working hours and occasionally in location, there is a strong emphasis on being present together in the office.
