Our client is a fintech company that helps lenders make better credit decisions and increase access to finance through an innovative data-driven solution. They currently serve traditional banks and mono-lenders and, after establishing themselves in Denmark, are now expanding into new markets, including Finland.

The role
As a Finnish-speaking Data Analyst, you will focus on the Finnish financial data landscape and play a key role in ensuring classification and calculation models deliver precise and reliable insights for Finnish clients. You will work closely with four other data analysts and collaborate with developers, product and commercial teams in a cross-functional, learning-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret large financial datasets from the Finnish market to improve transaction classification and calculation tools.

• Monitor Finnish data and design innovative ways to strengthen the product’s competitiveness in that market.

• Collaborate with analysts and developers to produce data-driven insights for algorithms and product improvements.

• Run quality assurance workflows to ensure high data quality and accuracy across your work.

• Use your knowledge of Finnish society and financial systems to support product scaling to other markets.

• Maintain clear documentation to improve transparency and knowledge-sharing within the team.

• Support product and commercial teams with statistical analysis and by joining client meetings when needed.

Candidate profile

Must-have

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data science or a similar role.

• Native or fluent Finnish and strong understanding of Finnish society and financial systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Clear and confident communication in both English and Finnish.

• Basic experience with SQL and either Python or PySpark for data analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking and/or financial services.

• Prior exposure to analytical roles in fintech or lending.

• Experience working with Databricks.

• A quantitative degree (Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related).
