Koda Staff is working exclusively with GAMING1 to hire a DevOps Engineer to join its IT organisation.

This role sits within the IT department responsible for designing, delivering, and operating technical solutions across both land-based operations (casinos, gaming halls, sports betting centres) and corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance.

This is not a traditional “run the infrastructure” role. You will operate with a platform mindset, enabling teams across the organisation to deliver faster, safer, and with greater confidence.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will treat the internal platform as a product — designing scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support a wide range of operational and business use cases.

You will focus on automation, self-service, and developer enablement, helping teams reduce friction and improve delivery speed without compromising on reliability or compliance.

Your Mission

• Build and evolve a secure, scalable platform supporting retail and corporate systems
• Enable development teams through automation and self-service capabilities
• Improve delivery speed, system reliability, and operational consistency
• Promote modern platform engineering practices across the IT organisation

Key Responsibilities

Platform Ownership

• Design and evolve platform architecture supporting multiple business domains
• Contribute to platform roadmap and long-term technical direction
• Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and production-ready

Automation & Developer Enablement

• Build automation and self-service tooling to simplify developer workflows
• Reduce manual processes through scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Enable faster, safer deployments across teams

Platform Engineering & Innovation

• Research and introduce new tools and technologies where relevant
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and modern DevOps practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement of platform capabilities

Security, Reliability & Compliance

• Ensure systems meet high standards of availability and performance
• Align platform design with regulatory, compliance, and security requirements
• Contribute to a culture of reliability, responsibility, and operational excellence

You are likely to be a strong fit if:

• You automate wherever possible and avoid manual repetition
• You are comfortable working in Linux environments and with containerisation (Docker)
• You understand both development and operations, and can bridge the two
• You care about quality, documentation, and long-term system reliability
• You communicate clearly in English (B2+ or above)
