We are representing a rapidly scaling digital infrastructure developer seeking a Senior Director of Preconstruction to lead preconstruction delivery across a major portfolio of hyperscale data center developments.

This is a highly strategic leadership opportunity focused on driving preconstruction performance across multiple concurrent mission-critical projects while helping scale one of the industry’s fastest-growing digital infrastructure platforms.

The successful candidate will operate at portfolio level, partnering closely with executive leadership across Development, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and Sales to ensure projects are commercially aligned, operationally executable, and positioned for successful delivery.

The Opportunity
This individual will oversee preconstruction activities across a large-scale portfolio of data center developments - owning budgeting, procurement strategy, construction readiness, subcontractor engagement, and overall preconstruction execution across multiple sites.

The role combines technical depth, commercial leadership, and organizational development, with significant influence across both project delivery and long-term operational strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading preconstruction strategy and execution across multiple concurrent data center developments
Overseeing portfolio-level budgeting, cost modeling, scheduling, and construction readiness
Driving procurement strategy for major equipment, long-lead materials, and strategic vendor relationships
Managing subcontractor prequalification, labor strategy, and trade partner engagement across the portfolio
Defining construction sequencing and delivery strategy to optimize schedule and reduce risk
Building and leading teams of Directors, senior PMs, estimators, and preconstruction professionals
Establishing scalable preconstruction standards, workflows, and handoff processes to construction teams
Partnering closely with Development, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and executive leadership teams
Supporting executive-level reporting around project readiness, procurement health, and delivery risk
Acting as a senior technical and commercial advisor across major development initiatives and pursuits

Ideal Background
We are particularly interested in senior preconstruction and construction leaders with experience operating across large-scale mission critical, industrial, or technically complex infrastructure programs.

Strong consideration will be given to individuals with:

10–15+ years of experience across preconstruction, estimating, program management, or construction leadership
Experience managing multi-project or portfolio-level preconstruction functions
Deep understanding of mission critical or large-scale infrastructure development
Strong commercial, procurement, budgeting, and vendor management capabilities
Experience building and leading high-performing preconstruction teams
Strong understanding of construction logistics, contractor mobilization, and long-lead procurement planning
Executive-level communication skills and ability to operate across cross-functional leadership teams
A strategic mindset balanced with operational and technical credibility
